STORY
Nordic airbags was founded by professional Freestyle motocross rider, ramp-builder and show promoter Stig Aron Frøseth.
With more than 15 years of experience in riding bikes and ramp building for fmx and bmx, Stig knows exactly what makes or breaks a good landing-ramp.
The idea of starting my own airbag company came to me when I was helping a friend to find the best option on where to buy an FMX airbag landing. We quickly found that he basically had 3 options:
1. Buy a cheap bouncy castle shaped as a landing ramp from China.
2. Buy the same product as in alternative 1, with a company logo on it at 4 times the price.
3. Buy a Quality airbag landing from one of the established companies in Europe, but at a very high price.
Number 3 was the only real alternative but unfortunately it was way out of not only his but most peoples financial range.
I have a passion for my sport and hated the thought of its future being only for the privileged.
I have worked my whole life with technical designs, mechanics, ramp building and as a carpenter. Typically, if I can not find exactly what I am looking for or what I am looking for is to expensive I will make it myself. I was curious to find out what a quality airbag would really cost to have produced and if I could do something to make quality airbags more affordable to the public.
About 1 year later, with thousands of hours of research, design, calculations, material tests, product tests, factory visits, failed constructions and uncountable redesigns, My friend finally received his airbag.
We did not stop there and can now proudly offer some of the best and most affordable airbag landings on the market for FMX, BMX and Mountain bikes.

Advanced production facilities
Nordic airbags is produced by carefully selected factories with high end production techniques that includes detailed CAD design plans, computer controlled cutting machines and high frequency welding equipment.

Quality
Our airbags are built with flame retardant, high tear / tensile strength materials and is designed with extreme care to ensure a product that is built to last. Our materials and production methods meet or exceeds requirements in the European standard EN 14960.
On the inside baffles of our airbag mattresses we use a high strength pvc material with more than double the strength of the oxford material used by some of the other companies on the market.
For our Motorcycle airbags we use a heavy duty top-sheet 2.5 times more tear resistant then the standard 0.9mm pvc top-sheet some of our competitors use!

Before production starts we will make a 3D rendered model with your specific design for you to better visualize the finished product. If it doesn't appeal on the first attempt we are happy to make changes until it looks exactly how you imagined.
